Restoration
of, and addition to, an Art Moderne style theatre constructed
of Crab Orchard stone. Built in 1938, the theatre has
been vacant since 1978. A fire and subsequent water
damage has left nothing but a masonry shell. The project
includes constructing a new roof, reconstructing the balcony,
new seating, finishes, and fixtures. Additions include a
stage expansion in the rear, and toilet facilities on the
side. Also, the adjacent brick building is incorporated
and renovated to provide expanded lobby space and concession
area.
